I want to talk to you about a tool that will help you take your business to the Next Level.
I get a lot of questions from people who want to grow their business…but have a hard time with revenue projections and project delegation. These are easy problems to solve…
I talk about the solution in this video.
You want to create a 12 Month Planner.
This tool will allow you to be crystal clear when it comes to planning for your goals. It will also help you create a vision for exactly what your next level will look like. If you want to grow your business…you can’t be ambiguous about your goals.
By using a simple Excel spreadsheet you will be able to map out your next 12 months, and figure out exactly what your Top Line Revenue will look like. All you have to do is break down your Sales and Revenue into different…
- Product Lines
- Programs
- Services
- Other Product/Service Mixes
Put these different revenue sources into their own rows on your spreadsheet….and then put the different months into their own columns. This will allow you to forecast out exactly what the growth of these revenue lines needs to be so you can take your company to the next level.
With this information, you will know exactly where you will be in 12 months.
Just saying: “I want to make a million in sales” isn’t going to get you there…you need to plan out each month and strategically work towards whatever sales and revenue goals you have in mind.
You're doomed to fail if you don't have a plan in place to achieve the goals you set for your small business. (tweet this)
When you do this…you will be more effective at planning out your company’s goals and what projects you will need to put in place to realize those goals. This, in turn, allows you to delegate exactly who will do which tasks…and when they will get them done.
Then you will have an overall clearer picture of what it takes to get your business to the Next Level.

8 年Your 12-Month Planner idea's a definite gem, Josh. Gotta love Excel for breaking down the big goal into those manageable, trackable, assignable chunks!

8 年This makes so much sense! All goals require a strategy and measurable checkpoints. Why would running a small business, an extremely complex goal, be any different?

8 年So true Josh - and what's even more scary is most small businesses don't have a plan - they just wing it. Great post!
