No one told me this when I started.....

No one told me this when I started.....

No-one told me that being successful in business was so dependent on my mindset.?

Now, with hindsight it seems so obvious!

The strategy and tactics are pretty straight forward because it's all about process.

But it took me a while to realise that my business would only grow to the rate at which my mind allowed it to and that is exactly one of the reasons everything I do in my coaching business is a beautiful blend of strategy, tactics and mindset.

How?do?you keep your “head” in the right space to help you build the business you desire?

Here are my 5 biggest learnings......

  1. Negative self talk. That little voice inside that tells you that you can’t possibly succeed, who are you to even think that would be possible and that you’ll find it difficult to gain new clients, that your competition will have already mopped up all of the potential clients in your area, and so on. Learn to turn that negative self talk dial down.
  2. Surround yourself with people that believe in you. This is really important. If you do the opposite, you’ll allow other people’s limiting beliefs infect you and this will hold you back. Find your home. Find a community that supports your goals, champions your successes and where you're not the cleverest person in the room so to speak.
  3. Break down the progress you need to make to reach your goals, into bite-size pieces as this will remove the tendency to feel overwhelmed and less able. Remember, it's always one step in front of the other and everyone has a different journey.??Comparing yourself to someone who appears to be "more successful" than you or has "got there more quickly than you" is a sure fire way to throw yourself of course.
  4. Celebrate the small wins. This is REALLY important. Why? Because the big wins are few and far between although social media would often have you think differently! Save and screenshot your great testimonials and give them a read. Then, list your successes & achievements each time you're feeling that niggling sense of self-doubt creep in!?That's why each one of my client sessions starts with positive focus and what's gone well.
  5. Surround yourself with other successful business owners; their positivity will be infectious and you never want to be the smartest person in the room.?

One saying that I often remind myself of is, ”The only barriers to my success are the ones I’m putting there myself!”

To get you started, write down your list of accomplishments from the last three months.

What are your biggest successes from the last 3 months?

Let me know because I'd love to celebrate with you!

Mindset is one of the things that often comes up during my sessions with clients and is something we cover off in my in-person Mastermind Days.

My next in-person days are in Manchester on the 8th and 20th September and there's only a couple of spaces left.

You can find all the info about Mastermind Days here.
