The One Thing That Will Make (or Break) Your Business

The One Thing That Will Make (or Break) Your Business

Hey Friend,

I’m sending you this from sunny Mexico— this week we escaped the Texas snowstorm (aka 1 inch of snow), in favor of a family vacation.

My payment notifications have been going off non-stop, in fact, at the time of writing you this email we’ve already sold 50 products this morning.

I’ve been having a moment of gratitude, realizing that I’m currently living the life I had dreamed so hard about for so long… and that’s led to today’s topic.

So, if your business isn’t where you want it to be YET, let me save you months—maybe even years—of trial and error.

Here’s the truth no one emphasizes enough:

No matter how good your funnel, ads, or content are, your business will struggle if your product doesn’t truly resonate with your ideal client.

A wildly successful business starts with a product that can sell.

We’re done with mediocre, so let’s talk about building something that could take your business from sporadic and struggling, to selling out each and every time.

Why Your Product is Your Success Foundation

Your product isn’t just what you sell—it’s the transformation you offer your clients.

A great product doesn’t need aggressive selling. It naturally creates trust, referrals, and loyal customers who keep coming back. But too many entrepreneurs try to skip this step and focus on tactics instead of substance.

I mean let’s be honest: we’re living in a world of “let me whack this out as fast as possible and get the revenue in!” - and that’s not a recipe for happy clients or a happy bank account.

Here’s the thing: a weak product with great marketing might make sales at first, but it won’t create a sustainable business. Refund requests, low lifetime customer value, and minimal repeat purchases are symptoms of a product that misses the mark.

To build a truly scalable business, your product needs to do the heavy lifting.

How to Know If Your Product Truly Resonates

Here’s how to evaluate your product’s potential to convert at a high level:

  1. Does it solve a deep, urgent problem? People don’t buy products—they buy solutions to problems. Your product should address a pain point so clear and immediate that your audience feels compelled to take action.
  2. Is the promise of transformation clear and tangible? Are you overcomplicating the messaging? If people can’t immediately understand the result they’ll get, they’ll hesitate to buy. Pro tip: Test your messaging by explaining your offer to someone unfamiliar with your industry. If they can’t repeat it back clearly, your positioning needs work.
  3. Does it feel customized to your audience’s needs? Generic products struggle to convert. Instead, use real customer insights to make your offer feel tailored to your audience. Dive into your customers’ language by analyzing testimonials, reviews, and common objections to fine-tune your messaging.
  4. Does it elicit a response? When you get your product in front of your ideal client, does their face light up? Do they very quickly acknowledge that you’re finally solving a problem they’ve been failing to solve?

What Makes a Product Sell Itself?

Highly converting products share three critical traits:

  1. They’re built with audience feedback. Talk to your ideal clients. Ask them about their biggest struggles and aspirations. Use their responses to refine your product and ensure it directly addresses their needs. Use their language in your marketing.
  2. They’re backed by undeniable proof. Testimonials, case studies, and user-generated content are game-changers. Pro tip: Use video testimonials whenever possible. They create trust faster than text reviews.
  3. They create emotional connection. People don’t just buy with logic—they buy with emotion. Make sure your product story and messaging evoke feelings of empowerment, excitement, or relief.

Why a Great Product Makes Marketing Easier

When your product resonates:

  • It amplifies word-of-mouth marketing: People naturally share things that improve their lives.
  • It increases the ROI of your ads: Highly converting products reduce your cost-per-acquisition and boost return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • It simplifies your funnel: Instead of needing complicated upsells or long sales cycles, your offer creates instant clarity and demand.

A great product allows you to focus on scaling instead of salvaging.

What to Do If Your Product Isn’t Converting

Doing all the things but feeling like people just aren’t interested?

First: download this workbook that I’ve put together for you. It’s free and it’s going to take an offer that is completely tanking, and build it into one that’s irresistible - using all the psychological triggers that you need to be aware of.

In addition, here’s a roadmap to refine your offer even more:

  1. Run a product audit: Gather feedback from past customers and ask them what they loved, what they didn’t, and what they felt was missing. Ask people who have been through your funnel why they didn’t buy.
  2. Split-test your positioning: Test headlines, descriptions, and call-to-actions to find what resonates most with your audience. Tools like Google Optimize or Hotjar can help you collect data quickly.
  3. Simplify your promise: Strip your messaging down to one clear transformation. Overcomplicated offers confuse customers and kill conversions.
  4. Refine your customer journey: Ask: How does my audience feel at each stage of the buying process? Create seamless, confidence-boosting touchpoints—like welcome sequences, FAQs, or live Q&A sessions—to eliminate friction.

Your Next Step: Focus on the Core Foundation

Take a moment today to reflect on these three critical questions:

  • What specific, urgent problem does my product solve?
  • Is my audience excited enough about my product to recommend it without me asking?
  • If I removed all my marketing efforts (the webinars, challenges, hypey-content), would my product still be irresistible?

If the answer to any of these is “no,” it’s time to pause and refocus on your product.

The key to a wildly successful business isn’t more funnels, ads, or content—it’s having a product so aligned with your ideal client that it practically sells itself.

?? This week I shared a hack that creators are currently using on Instagram to drive thousands of new followers… without creating any new content. It’s a game-changer.

??We just recently had Angie Lee on the podcast to give us a full masterclass on how to build an 8 figure ecommerce brand. Her story is so inspiring, and this episode is incredibly tactical.

??Not biz-related, but last year I realized that both my airfryer and milk frother had teflon in them, which obviously isn’t the best for your health. I’m absolutely obsessed with the frother we swapped it out for, we’ve been using it for 6 months now and I can’t live without. Bonus is that it also has a bottle setting for heating up baby’s milk!

?? This is the airfryer we ended up opting for, and again, obsessed. I’ve been trying to identify anything in the home that’s giving out unnecessary toxins and it blows my mind the kind of things they’re hiding in.

Stop Guessing—Start Listening

Here’s a strategy most entrepreneurs skip, but it can transform your sales: Use customer feedback to write your sales copy.

Instead of brainstorming messaging on your own, analyze the exact words your audience uses:

  • What do they say in testimonials or reviews?
  • What frustrations do they vent in comments, DMs, or emails?
  • What phrases come up repeatedly when they talk about their goals?

These are gold. Take their language and use it in your headlines, product descriptions, and CTAs.

Why? Because when people see their own struggles and desires reflected back, they instantly feel seen—and ready to buy.

Your challenge this week: Spend 15 minutes reviewing testimonials, customer emails, or even your audience’s social media comments. Note the key phrases that stand out and test using them in your copy.

I have to share something that has me feeling SO inspired this week. Inside Freedom Fast Track, we’ve had some incredible women absolutely CRUSH their goals, and I just know their stories are going to inspire you too.

Meet Paige Sinclair, Co-Founder of Pulsabilities, Inc.

Paige joined FFT with an incredible concept: gamifying wellness through a customized challenge inside a private app focusing on nutrition, physical, social, and mental health. Paige isn’t just a wellness innovator—she’s a powerhouse with over 10 years in healthcare as a registered nurse, specializing in oncology, research, and informatics.?

Before FFT, she had NO funnel, NO email campaigns, and NO automated systems. After implementing everything she learned in Freedom Fast Track, Paige launched Pulsabilities to a cold market with a powerful new sales funnel, leading to 23 purchases in just 4 days! Her funnel now runs on autopilot, freeing her to focus on growing the business and creating even bigger impact. Paige’s story proves that with the right strategy, anything is possible.

Meet Andrea DaSilva, The Burnout Nurse Coach

Andrea isn't just helping nurses break free from burnout—she's living proof that it's possible to thrive even in the midst of chaos. As a mother of six, balancing full-time nursing and family life, she knew she had to find a way forward—not just for herself, but for her family too. After 17 years as a nurse, Andrea found herself overwhelmed, exhausted, and searching for more. But instead of putting her dreams on hold, she took action and built something extraordinary!

Since joining FFT, Andrea built a funnel designed to support nurses facing burnout, grew her Instagram from 100 followers to over 2,200 in just 30 days, with a staggering 5.5 million views! And she’s not stopping there—her email list is growing daily, and she’s working on even more offers to serve her audience.

?

Meet Kelly Brusch, Founder of Doulas of North County

Kelly’s passion for supporting expectant families was born from her own experience of feeling overwhelmed by fear-based stories, unanswered questions, and conflicting advice during her first pregnancy. Hiring a doula changed everything for her—giving her the clarity and confidence she needed to embrace birth and postpartum with peace of mind. Determined to provide the same support to others, Kelly became a certified doula in 2018.?

Before FFT, she spent hours on sales calls answering the same questions. She knew there had to be a better way—and she found it in FFT. By implementing a lead qualifier funnel, Kelly now connects with expectant families who are pre-educated about her services, values, and pricing—resulting in higher conversions + a lot more freedom. Now, she books dream clients effortlessly and saves SO much time.
