Our sedentary lifestyles have contributed to skyrocketing rates of obesity and diabetes. A key remedy we are told is exercise.
However most of us struggle to remain fit and our approach is often plagued by misconceptions, finger pointing and anxiety.
Exercise has become a source of anxiety and confusion because while everyone knows that exercise is good for their health, the majority of us struggle to exercise enough, safely and most importantly enjoyably.
How can u explain that we spend most of our days sitting in chairs and then compensate for our idleness by paying money to go to a gym to make ourselves sweaty, tired and uncomfortable. We even made exercise a big daily expense- protein shakes, shoes, clothes, gym, trainers
I have been working on my fitness almost for now 8 years. And the methodology has kept changing. Different trainers , different theories. ??? ????? ??, heavy breakfast ???, ??? IF. ??? ??? ??? ??? ???? ?? burpees ???, ??? ???? ??? ???? ???
If u r new to fitness U will be overwhelmed with so many contrasting views. ?? ??? ???? convince ????? ?? ??? ??, ????? ???? ?????I respect every trainer or nutritionist out there as each one of them contributes in some positive way to their clients. How do u go about it then?
Understand your goals first. For most of us it is a pain free healthy life. If you look at our Hunter gatherer ancestors, they didn’t have a one hour reserved for exercise. It was their way of life. Walking, climbing or running whole day to hunt. And carry back the kill on themselves
Our forefathers didn’t die because of any of the lifestyle diseases we have. We have found remedy to all the reasons they died early of. But they didn’t eat processed sugar. Or packaged food. Or sit 13-14 hours of their wake up time. More so on chairs. Or drive to exercise.
Simplest way to explain about exercise is move. Walk as much as possible. Don’t be lazy about it. After 30, your muscles degenerate. So u need to train to keep them growing. U have to give muscles some resistance as u can’t carry your prey back home on your shoulder like forefathers.
Basic human movements that u will do whole life- getting up from a chair or carrying your bag. Push, pull, squat, hip hinge, lunges. And then comes food.
Some fine tweaking in your daily home eating will show remarkable improvement.
Eat less. I changed my lunch time to 10:30 from 2 in the afternoon. That took away breakfast. I Keep some ???? ??? ??? at work or carry apple. Eat dinner early.
Some form of good amount of vegetable in both meals. Not eating anything sold in packets. Avoid processed sugar.
Looking young, energetic, free of diseases etc. are byproduct of this lifestyle. Are bound to happen. You will be able to successfully do if it’s not made to sound like a burden. You will loose your motivation soon as the visible results take time. Trust the process.
