We all know that good nutrition improves your health and bad nutrition worsens your health.
BUT it’s more than good vs. bad nutrition, it’s actually about PROPER NUTRITION that is the key to restoring your hormone health.
That means it’s not just what you eat but HOW you eat that matters.
It's not only what you eat but HOW you eat that matters.
What you eat directly affects your gut health which directly affects your hormone health. Your hormones are the chemical messengers that communicate between your organ systems to keep your metabolism in check.
How you eat determines the biological response your body will take when digesting your food and extracting nutrients.
For example, a bowl of oats and berries seems like a healthy breakfast option BUT
?? it will actually spike your insulin levels causing insulin resistance and weight gain over time.
??fluctuations in blood sugar levels destabilize the hormones and increase inflammation in your body.
Stress also plays an important role in balancing your hormones.
Studies show that 75-90% of human diseases are related to the activation of the stress system with chronic inflammation being the main culprit.
Stress sets off a biological alarm system causing all non essential functions to be shut down including digestion.
This leads to:

??serious digestive disorders like IBS, SIBO, and acid reflux
?? increases gas and bloating
??increases bad bacterial growth in the gut leading to a weakened immune system and gut lining
Learning what foods and lifestyle works best for you is the key to healing your gut, balancing your hormones, and getting your life back.

2 年Proper nutrition is the key. Oatmeal as you said is a good example because it can be very good for gut health but for someone with diabetes it might be affecting their blood sugar levels and weight gain. It’s all about perspective and being intentional with what you eat.
