The ONE thing I can't (and won't) do as Coach!

I used to think that my job as a LinkedIn Coach was to ‘save’ my clients

To hold their hand, do the work for them, and make sure they stayed on track every step of the way

But over time I realised something pretty powerful

My clients don’t need saving - they need guidance

And as much as I care about their success, I can’t (and shouldn’t) carry the weight of their growth

Here’s why

Saving my clients doesn't serve them

When we, as coaches, feel responsible for our clients’ success, we take on too much

We carry the emotional burden, the pressure to fix things for them, and we step into a role that isn’t ours

Yes it comes from a place of care but it can actually do more harm than good

If we’re constantly ‘saving’ them, they never learn to stand on their own two feet and take ownership of their journey

I empower my clients to own and lead their journey

My role as a coach isn’t to rescue

It’s to empower

I provide strategies, tools and guidance - but it’s up to my clients to take action

I want them to feel confident in the decisions they make, knowing that they have the skills to figure things out for themselves

My job is to teach them to trust themselves, not to solve their problems for them

Why boundaries are so important - on both sides

Setting boundaries isn’t just about protecting myself — it’s about protecting my clients too

When I set clear boundaries, I show them that their success is in their own hands

If they need more support, we can schedule additional sessions, but they need to take responsibility for their journey

The best transformations happen when a client owns the process and steps into their power

I want my clients to own their growth

When you own your growth, you’re more likely to feel proud of your accomplishments

You develop the skills and confidence to handle obstacles and setbacks on your own, without relying on someone else to ‘save’ you

You become the true leader of your brand, your vision, and your future
