The One Thing That Holds Leaders Back From Flourishing In Their Business

With our intellect, we discover. With an insight, we uncover." - Syd Banks

It was Tuesday and I had to deliver our Lead From Within Workshop On Thursday.

I had a good draft of what I wanted to share but it was good. Not great.

I wanted to bring in more stories and metaphors but I just couldn't tap into my creativity. My mind was blank.

I then went for a walk. And everything came. Insights that I wouldn't have got in my office trying to figure it all out.

This is a simple story that you probably can relate to many times around.

You're someone who's intellectual. You've been to school. College. And maybe even university. You've already built a successful career for yourself and/or a business.

Yet, as I was reminded myself this week, our intellect can only take us so far.

Insight is what takes us into a new dimension. The non-linear path. Where a new fresh thought comes in that gives us a new perspective.

We see our whole world differently because of this new insight.

There's a sense of ease, peace, and wisdom when it comes.

This is what Leading From Within is all about.

It's easy for us intellectuals to get caught up in tips and strategies. Which of course I love and use.

But tips and strategies are always a bridge to create some form of an outcome.

If we go deeper, the tip or strategy always leads us to something like....so then I can have:

...more time

...more money

...more peace

...more joy

...more happiness

...better health

...better performance..

The outcome can be created along the linear dimension of this new strategy but many times along this path (which I've certainly been down many times) it takes a lot of effort, energy, and time.

More effortless and impactful is along the non-linear when we tap into the power of our own inner wisdom within our own mind.

And this only happens when we Create Space For Insights.

This is what we call slow down to speed up, at Thriving Scholar.

What are you currently focused on creating? What would be possible for you today if you slowed down even more?

With that, have a great day.
