Towards the end of 2024, our Head of Legal and Compliance, Harry Rogers , attended The HFM European Legal Summit, where he participated in a panel discussion on the future of legal and compliance talent in the hedge fund sector. As highlighted during the summit, firms are grappling with salary expectations for newly qualified lawyers and intense competition for skilled professionals.

Innovative strategies, such as hybrid work models and internal development programmes, are being adopted to address these challenges. There's a growing demand for professionals with niche expertise, especially in banking, leveraged finance, and private debt/credit, with smaller fund managers increasingly hiring their first in-house legal and compliance professionals, signalling a shift in hiring practices.

Success story: Women in Finance

We were thrilled to sponsor and participate in the recent Women in Finance Group event, "How to Navigate Your Career," at DBS London. Our Founder, Mush Ali , represented One Ten Associates at the evening's event, joining a panel of experts to discuss pivotal topics such as gender pay differentials, negotiation skills, and strategic career planning.
