When I was a child, the happiest month was June, because there was not only my own children's festival, but also the lively Dragon Boat Festival. On that day, the parents put down their work and took us to the nearby Dragon Mother Temple to pray and watch the dragon boat race.

The dragon boat race is not just a race of dragon boats on the water. Before the race, there is a grand ceremony of dotting the eyes of the dragon boat and launching the dragon boat. The production of the dragon boat is different from the ordinary boat. It has an exquisite and vivid dragon head. The slender body of the boat is painted with dragon scales. The tail of the boat is carved with wood. The whole shape is like a real dragon.
