One simple way to stand out in the hiring process

One simple way to stand out in the hiring process

Ok, simple is a bit of an exaggeration. But it is time to go a bit retro when it comes to hiring.

Video interviewing has made the hiring process extremely efficient. People rarely have to take the day off anymore. No one is spending an hour driving to an interview, much less flying in for an in-person meeting.

For the early stages of a hiring process, that is great. But what happens when you are hiring for a key leadership role. Or building out a team? Can you really sell your opportunity to someone over the course of a few Zoom calls? I’m not so sure.

TritonExec (our Executive Search division) launched a new way to hire a few years ago.? And we’ve started to implement it with some pretty remarkable results. But don’t just take my word for it. James and Jeff sat down to discuss a recent talent rant. Check it out!

The 10 Minute Talent Rant [Ep 77] Onsite Interviews Are Better

The hiring world is obsessed with candidate pipeline building. Sure, the top of the funnel is important. But success in hiring has always been about conversion. Getting the right candidates to say ‘yes.’

And nothing converts offers to acceptances like an A+ interview experience.

Problem is: it’s really hard for your company to set itself apart when you’re doing 3 Zooms and an assessment like every other company.

Regardless of your office vs remote policy, onsite interviews offer so much more opportunity for curated, impactful interview experiences. Jeff Smith and James Hornick discuss how dramatic of a difference this can make in The 10 Minute Talent Rant, Episode 77 "Onsite Interviews Are Better".

Recruiting Reality [Ep 10] Recruiting Realities: Embracing the Goldfish Mentality

On the latest “Recruiting Reality,” Liz and Shania channel the timeless wisdom of Ted Lasso’s famous advice: “Be a goldfish.” They explore the emotional roller coaster that is agency recruiting and the job search process. Just like the goldfish, they try to not get too caught up in the highs or the lows. Embrace the highs, manage the lows, and maintain a tenacious spirit throughout the journey.

Thanks for watching!
