This one simple thing...

This one simple thing...

Have you ever considered how a simple, unplanned interaction could have a profound impact on your team or customer relationships??

Picture this: I was at a café with a colleague, basking in the warmth of the sun. She primarily works from home, just one day a week in the office. What caught my attention was her description of how remarkably engaged her team remained, despite relying heavily on virtual interactions.?

She shared, "My team's bond is so strong, thanks to the simplest of things... we care about time, and make time to care."?

What does that mean, you ask?

Well, they've established a rhythm for staying connected. They give priority to taking time to genuinely care about each other.

At the beginning of every meeting, they kick things off with a personal touch—questions about weekend highlights, expressions of gratitude, or sharing the funniest meme of the week.?It's these seemingly minor, spontaneous gestures that have had a monumental impact on building trust, fostering collaboration, and creating a more positive team atmosphere.?

She leaned in, taking a sip of her coffee, and confided, "You know the strangest thing? We had a project that temporarily disrupted our Monday meetings—the very ones that gave us that weekly opportunity to connect. I didn't realise how much I missed it until it was gone..." I nodded in understanding.?

Those incidental interactions can, in fact, be transformative... and underrated until they're absent.?

This is precisely what Rehumanising Connection is all about—rebuilding relationships in the digital age. Because when we do, we nurture high-performance teams, breathe life into workplace culture, foster lasting connections with our customers, and unleash people's passions into action.

What's one small thing you can do today? Sometimes it's the little things that make the big difference.

This is such a brilliant example of building the foundations of connection Kirryn Zerna. It really doesn’t take much effort and the benefits are huge. It’s one of those things that we can’t really quantify or measure in absolute terms but we know it’s incredibly valuable.

Lovely connection cafe story Kirryn Zerna. So true and 'leaning in and listening' - as you did - builds the bond, the connection and the relationships ??.
