There are numerous important numbers when it comes to growing your practice, like patient visit averages and recall rebooking rates. However, there’s one number that often surprises clinic owners about their website.

If we exclude your existing patients, we're talking about new patients—less than 50% of potential patients who visit your "Book Online" page actually book an appointment.

For some clinics, this number is as low as 20%... only 1 in 5 new potential patients actually book after landing on your book online page.

Why is this happening?

Here are two main reasons:

Availability Issues: Potential patients can’t seem to find a time that suits them. ??

Quick Fix: Take 5 minutes to review your book online options. How many options are there on the first step? How many choices do patients have to make?

Consider adding a help prompt such as:

“Don’t see a time that works for you? Click here to speak to one of our friendly team members.”

Talking to a human, especially for older patients, can dramatically increase the number of new patients booking online. ??

Simplifying the process and ensuring there's an option to speak to a human can make a huge difference.
