One Simple Action to Help You Achieve Your Goals

One Simple Action to Help You Achieve Your Goals

Ready for your action? It may just take one thing. According to research by psychologist Dr. Gail Matthews, you are 42% more likely to achieve your goals by simply writing them down[1].

Simple, right? Here’s why this is so effective.

Writing down your goals clarifies what you want to accomplish. This fresh start will help you recalibrate and refocus your mind on what you want to achieve.

By putting pen to paper, you’ll begin to strategize the steps on how you will achieve your goals. Once you start writing, don’t be surprised if creativity strikes, and you can expand your thoughts on the plan to get you to where you want to be.

Also, the act of writing down your goals can give you a jolt of internal motivation. Something deep inside you is awakened, and you give yourself the freedom to dream a little.

Finally, if you want to supercharge this process, share your goals with friends or family members to encourage you and hold you accountable. There's nothing more powerful than a group of people, a community united around a common goal.

So right now, take a few minutes, write down your specific goals, and put them in a place that you will see them often. Take some time to envision your future self and how you’ll take meaningful action to reach your desired outcome. Then, if you're ready, share it with a friend!
