One-sided relationships

It often falls to one partner to arrange everything.

Living with someone you love can be lonelier than living entirely alone, if the one that you love doesn’t love you.

Planning trips or dates, picking up food for dinner, checking in when you haven’t talked in a few days, initiating sex — it may seem as if the relationship would collapse entirely if you stopped working to sustain it

People usually embark on romantic relationships in search of?intimacy, companionship, and mutual support.

Relationships can sometimes slip out of balance and become what’s known as a one-sided relationship. These can cause mental anguish and be physically and emotionally draining.?

Life’s challenges often become easier to manage when someone else helps shoulder the burden.

Life is the furthest thing from being easy. Filled with ups and downs, highs and lows, you never know what to expect.

But sometimes life can be a little too tough for us to bear. For whatever reason, life has a way of kicking us while we’re down—when it rains, it pours.

Are you feeling emotionally, mentally, or physically tired? Are you just ‘done’?

When we suffer too much, we become emotionally and mentally drained. The effects of the stress evolve beyond the mental and start manifesting in ways that we can see.

We become sapped of our energy to the point of physical exhaustion, and in some cases, all we can do is break down.

It’s important to recognize when life has put you through too much, instead of confusing these symptoms with everyday life.

Healthy relationships are based on a mutual desire to see the other succeed in all areas of life, but when things turn toxic, every achievement becomes a competition.

No relationship is perfect, in the personal or the business sphere. But for the most part, a good relationship makes you feel secure, happy, cared for, respected, and free to be yourself.

On the other side of the coin are toxic relationships--the ones that make you feel drained, depleted, and sometimes even distraught.

When you don’t have honesty in love then there is no communication. Honesty is improvisation of the heart; anything less is a well thought out and rehearsed script.

Whether you're running a business, working with a partner, leading an organization, or managing a team, the last thing you need is a toxic relationship.

All take, no give.? Any relationship in which you experience withdrawals of energy without deposits will leave you in the negative. If, instead of feeling happy and productive, it's time to re-evaluate.

A relationship without trust is like a car without gas: You can stay in it all you want, but it won't go anywhere. Constant anger is a sure sign of an unhealthy relationship. You should never be around hostility because it makes you feel unsafe.

A one-sided relationship can never run smoothly. In judgmental relationships, criticism is not intended to be helpful but rather to belittle.

It's almost impossible for anything positive to come out of a relationship filled with negativity.

Without communication, there is no relationship. Period.

?Mutual respect is the first requirement of a good partnership. If you spend your time avoiding each other, that tells you all you need to know.

If you cannot turn to each other, is there a reason to be in the relationship?

If one person is in control, or a constant tug-of-war is going on, you're probably spending too much energy navigating the relationship.

Good relationships improve your life; they don't make it messier. If you find yourself changing your opinions to please someone else, you're in a damaging relationship.

Thank you …. All relationships go through challenges, but good relationships work through them. It's an insidious thing negative relationships do: They leave you feeling you don't deserve any better.

Is the other person a positive force in your life, or are you there because you don't see any way out?

If a relationship can't be reassuring, it's failing a crucial test.

Empty pretense. Smiles don't always mean everything is OK.

When nothing is sure, forward movement feels impossible. Partners are never equal in all aspects, but that should be a source of strength, not of a source of disruptive envy.

Anyone in any relationship should have the right to say no.You can't move onto the future?if you're tied to someone who's still stuck in the past.

When you're in a relationship with someone who doesn't acknowledge your value, it can be hard to see it yourself.

Every lie between partners undercuts a little bit of the relationship.

If s someone is constantly making you unhappy, you owe it to yourself to let that person go.

Sometimes your mind needs more time to discover what your heart already knows.?

One-sided relationships can cause slow begging to accepting what was once not acceptable.

Growth and learning are vital, and you can't afford to be cut off from them. Nothing is ever worth cutting corners, or accepting anything that is second rate.

Your Comments……

Negativity drains your energy, zap ideas, and brings pessimism in like a wet blanket. Everyone can have a bad day, but when you worry about how to deal with a certain person, or even avoid them — you are dealing with toxic behaviour.

Negativity is unproductive for a team, and toxic in relationships.

Coping with a negative person isn’t easy as they drain your energy. This is not self-defence – it is common sense. If you continue to invite the black, you become part of the game. You may even become the unwilling star in a self-propelling drama.?

To feel good, you need to be good – as it otherwise becomes very hard to do well. By inviting negativity the good turns sour, and the energy becomes clouded.

How do we deal with the toxic people who turn every phrase, situation and event into negative stress?

We all have toxic people in our lives who can’t be avoided. It could be a friend, family member, or coworkers whom you just can’t stand.

One-sided people will pollute everything around them. Don’t hesitate. Fumigate.

Because they thrive on gloom and doom, your overly negative friend can't stand it when you're feeling happy and doing well. They don't support you, and they certainly aren't happy for you when you get your dream job or when your significant other proposes.

Draining, unsupportive, and difficult people are one of life’s greatest challenges.

You deserve to have people in your life that you enjoy spending time with, that support you, and that you LOVE hanging out with.

Have you ever been talking to someone who keeps interrupting you?

Maybe I should revise that sentence: have you ever been trying to talk to someone who won’t let you get a word in?

It’s important to understand that an unbalanced relationship isn’t always intentional. A one-sided relationship involves one person investing much more time and energy into the relationship than their partner. Are you putting effort into your relationship without getting anything in return? It's common and perfectly okay for couples to experience ups and downs in their relationship. ?What's never okay, though, is for one person to be putting in all the effort. These kinds of relationships are frustrating and can easily take a toll on your mental health. Love is like a plant that needs both water and sunlight to keep growing into a fruitful tree. So, if you are in a one-sided relationship, make sure you find a solution to it, take the right decision, and steer your life in the right direction.
