"No One Puts New Wine Into Old Wineskin"
In the greatest book of all time—the Holy Bible—Jesus puts it this way, “No one puts new wine into old wineskin, for the old skins would burst from the pressure, spilling the wine and ruining the skins. New wine is stored in new wineskins so that both are preserved.”[1] What does that mean? The simplest way I can explain that Scripture is that new ways of doing things are not compatible with the old ways. As a result, the mind needs to transform so that it can be conducive to the new ways. If you process new information with an old mindset, you won’t be able to understand the information. Trying to do so would be a waste of time and energy. Is processing new information with a new mindset easy to do? Of course not!
Compliance is the greatest threat to moving into something different. Most if not all humans are creatures of habit. We are comfortable with doing things a certain way and find it difficult to change. But to think like a winner, you must be willing to detach from your old ways of doing things to form new habits and find new opportunities. Don’t allow yourself to be boxed in by a one-track mindset. A whole world of untouched possibilities is waiting for you. But it’s going to take your changing from the old to the new to discover it. carlmathisbooks.com
