One opened door - Life changes

Yepp. Just one real door, I opened, changed my life.

In Sweden it′s very difficult to get into the conservatory or music. I studied 3 years pre conservatory, played piano 8 hours a day, singing lessons, learned how to play the guitar, bass and drums, being born to create music. Mostly my mother′s "fault" providing me with 98% total ear in music. 100% is devastating.

I managed to get into the conservatory in Gothemburg, and after almost four years, just about to graduate to be a jazz piano teacher and performer, I opened that door. The door to the studio, 2 hours invitation to learn, in which they had a Tascam tape machine, compressors, eqs and loads of synths. REAL synths. Roland, EmaxII, Rhodes and a Hammond B3 was also in the room. A whole new world opened to me, being taught briefly how to record, using the mixer, and ups! my career at the conservatory, gone. I just forgot about it and stayed 2 additional years, in the studio making music.

Years later, starting out with Passport and Atari, smpte code and my own EmaxII, 8mgb Ram memory( the works! ) here I am, with 9 times platinum productions and compositions, some no1s at major charts and presently producing top Asian artists and running my licensing company at the same time, blessed with a lot of placements worldwide, wondering....

What would have happened if I didn′t open that door...Well, same ME in another world maybe took the other way, and maybe I′ll know some day..

Opening doors are great, although nowadays they are hard to find, much more difficult to get those invitations, but, never give up on them, cause they will come, and then, you choose walking in..or not..Be blessed! E
