One of My Favorite Weekends

Good Morning My Friends,

One of my favorite weekends of the year is our annual Father/Daughter Trip. This was year three.

There are only two rules to the trip:

1. The trip needs to take us to a city where I can check off a new MLB stadium.
2. The trip needs to include a big activity for E to check off.

This year took us to Houston, Texas, and was the first trip that fell over Father's Day weekend.

I thought it would be fun to give you a thumbs-up?? or thumbs-down?? review through the eyes of an eight-year-old.

Food

• Hampton Inn Breakfast ??- she thinks the waffles are to die for.
• Osso & Kristalla ??- Woodfire pizza, truffle fries, and dessert were great.
• Biggios ??- The chicken tenders were CRISPY, the best dessert all weekend.
• Pappasito's Cantina ??- The Enchiladas were great, dessert was underwhelming.
• Minute Maid Park ??- Underwhelming food, but the best part was the Blue Bell Ice Cream in a souvenir helmet.

Sites

• Minute Maid Park ??- lacked kids entertainment areas like Cincinnati or St. Louis.
• Space Center ??- enjoyed all the interactive exhibits and awesomeness that is NASA.

Miscellaneous

• Uber Rides ??- she napped during every ride.
• Hotel Pool ??- EVERY day required a swim.
• Hotel Gym ??- her first-ever gym workout with dad. (Dad's note; then she complained the next day because her legs were sore).
• Souvenir Baseball from a Detroit Tiger ??- she got there early, flashed a smile at Tariq Skubal, and got a ball!
• Do it again with Dad next year? ????????

That last rating is all that matters to me. While inside Minute Maid Park, we talked with a father and son who have been doing the same tradition for twenty years. They still look forward to the trip every year!
