One of the most important factors when selecting a venue for your event - the people!

When selecting a venue for an event, it's important to consider more than just location, style, and size. The team at the venue is a crucial factor in ensuring a successful event and this should be a key deciding factor when selecting your venue.

No matter how impressive the venue may be, if the team is not passionate about providing excellent service, it can impact the overall experience for both the organiser and the delegates.

It’s important that we go beyond evaluating the aesthetics and logistics of a venue – the space is one of the most important elements but there needs to be personality to bring that space to life.

The focus should be on the people who will be running the event with you. Spending time in a venue to get a feel for the people is extremely valuable – after all they are at the heart of everything we do.

Considering some of the below is a great start;

  • Are they flexible and enthusiastic from the initial enquiry stage?
  • Do they provide a warm welcome and attend to all the small details that can make a big difference?
  • Have the team introduced themselves and done their research?
  • Do you feel the venues values and work ethics are aligned to those of your organisations?
  • Do they genuinely care about exceeding expectations and the success of your event?
  • Do you feel comfortable, at ease and in safe hands?

It’s all the small stuff that, when done by the right people can elevate your event and quite frankly, make your life SO much easier as an event organiser! It will ensure you can focus on the content and have peace of mind knowing that everything else is being taken care of.

Our clients may not always have the opportunity to visit themselves, so we want to ensure we are supporting them choosing a venue with the right team in place to look after their event.
