We made it through September (well, nearly), let's all give ourselves a pat on the back! And while we are patting those backs with one hand, scroll through this week's news to learn about the latest brand taking a stab at refill as well as a novel approach to tackling litter.

?? MOJU announced that they are now B Corp certified!

?? Notpla announced that they have successfully closed their Series A+ funding round and securing £20 million in equity fundraising to help advance the development of Notpla materials, achieving scalable plastic-free solution.

?? Reposit | Returnable Packaging Platform | B Corp announced their returnable platform on beauty and personal care with Arran Aromatics . Alongside this, Beauty Kitchen UK Ltd | B Corp products will also be available in the returnable packaging through Abel & Cole | B Corp? . The Reposit returnable system incentivises consumers to return their empty packaging after use with a ‘return for reward’ framework, which gives them a money-off reward redeemable against their next purchase.

? Decathlon announced their collaboration with AMV BBDO on their ‘Rentals for Rubbish’ campaign, allowing its customers to pay for sports gear rentals by collecting rubbish.

? Diageo announced their 90% paper-based bottle trial for Johnnie Walker Black Label at the 1820 bar in Edinburgh. In partnership with PA Consulting and PulPac , this marks Diageo’s first on-trade test of a 70cl paper-based bottle. The trial will evaluate bartender interaction and bottle performance in a bar setting, with 250 bottles being used until mid-October. While the bottles will be visible to the public, they will not be available for purchase.
