One Hundred Years of Changing the World

As Texas McCombs' Centennial comes to an end, I reflect with great pride on a year that was filled with inspiration, discovery, passion, and achievement. During this defining chapter in our school's history, we launched a strategy to support UT's ambitious Change Starts Here plan and brought our McCombs community together for meaningful and celebratory opportunities.?

Together, we reached remarkable milestones in 2022. We opened new spaces that offer a sense of belonging for all with the Peggy Drake Holland Lounge and the first-of-its-kind Wellness Center. We established the 1000th endowment and countless alumni and friends stepped up to invest in students' success. We launched a new brand and website as well as McCombs Connect, a digital space designed to strengthen our expansive global network...this is just to name a few! You showed up for McCombs, and I am grateful for the support and dedication of faculty, staff, students, alumni, friends, and industry partners.

It was also a year of fantastic achievements for many in our community. We celebrated faculty like world-renowned scholar Sheridan Titman, who won the Wharton-Jacobs Levy Prize for Quantitative Financial Innovation, and students like Amod Daherkar '25 and Ben Breed '24, who won the prestigious 2022 Fowler Global Social Innovation Challenge. We recently paid special tribute to Shudde Fath '37 for her life's work in civic activism. And who can forget cheering on Jaskaran Singh '22 as he swept this year's Jeopardy College Champion? We captured many more trailblazers in our Centennial issue of McCombs Magazine and in our StoryCorps x McCombs showcase.?

We step into our next century with bold spirit and passion to become the highest-impact public research business school. Thank you for keeping our 100-year legacy alive for future generations.
