PR Tips from PR Pros

This week's helpful hints are all about another kind of PR – press releases.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, how do I avoid writing the most cliche quotes of them all?

Crafting quotes that are tailored to your client and echo their natural patterns of speech and thought can be tricky to get the hang of. It needs to sound genuine. Loading your quotes up with common turns of phrase or lofty sentences doesn't read as well if it doesn't sound like something the real person would actually think or say naturally in conversation.

Join Leigh-Ann Hewer over on the Carnsight blog, where you can learn how verbatim speech, soundbites, and value-adding can make all the difference in drafting press release quotes.

Tick tock goes the clock, what's the timeline for

Coming up on the Carnsight blog is another great read all about the basics of any good press release. Our PR Pro breaks down everything you need to know about the timeline of a release and includes fresh tips on everything from structure to content to pitching.

This post is lined up for digital print next week, so keep an eye on our blog page.
