The one about events, events, events
Hello,
In case you haven't noticed, events are well and truly back?on the built environment marketing agenda. The next 6 weeks or so are totally?chocca block with industry events on all topics, shapes and coming in all?sizes!!?
Events include the month-long London Festival of Architecture next month, Clerkenwell Design Week, or UKREiiF in Leeds in a couple of weeks and next week alone?Footprint+, CRETech and UK Construction Week all hit London town.?You'd be hard-pressed to not be involved in some or many of them, and yes some?even overlap, which seems like a misstep from the organisers.?
And this doesn't even include the soirées and talks that individual firms, industry groups and associations are putting on?themselves.?I'm getting?tired just reading all this lot,?let alone thinking about how to get the most out of them.?
With so much competition, if you're wondering?how you can turn your?event attendance into a networking and opportunities?juggernaut, then you're in luck.?I've gathered?together a detailed article about?how to maximise your return before, during and after?events.?
Out and About
I'm a panellist on the CITB's Skills and Training stage?on Thurs 9 May?at UK Construction?Week at London's ExCeL. Find out more here, hope to see you there and yes,?it's free to register.?
I'm heading up to Leeds from May 20 and will be hosting the Industry in?Focus pavilion stage on Wednesday afternoon and the Build Up coffee and connect event that morning.
Listen up!

Grow the show podcast - download stats episode
I listened to this podcast episode?about why downloads is the wrong metric to use when measuring podcast ROI. Totally well worth a listen to reframe value/growth. I'll be?using this model going forward to assess effectiveness, that's for sure.
The power of B2B storytelling
Stacey Meadwell and I went live last week in a fun conversation about the what, how and why of B2B storytelling.? I'm a huge fan of storytelling, as it really is?a great way to captivate and engage with your audience.? Catch up on the replay here.?Our next B2B Comms breakdown on Friday 24 May will be about?how to repurpose content from all these?events that have been happening.?
