This one email makes all the difference

If done right this email can make more sales than any other.
And if you have an email list, this one defining moment could be your downfall.
What email am I banging on about?
The welcome email.
And it’s very rare to see a decent one.
This is a shame, as welcome emails are the most opened by new subscribers.
Think about it.
It costs ££'s to get people to subscribe to an email list.
And then the first email they receive when they’re most keen and judging most harshly says:
‘Thanks for subscribing'
That point in time has just decided if they look forward to future emails or not.
If they've received standard text...
Or didn't even receive one, they’re likely lost forever.
Getting welcome emails right is a massive opportunity to stand out from the crowd.
When they're done right...
So if you run a list give your welcome email A LOT of attention.
Check to see if it's engaging, tells your story and welcomes the new subscriber into your world.
And if you don't have your own list but are looking for work...
Next time you receive a doozy of a welcome email reach out to the company.
Let them know what you would do differently and ask if they would let you write it for them.
You never know they might say yes.
