After many months of hard work, our eBook has finally seen the light of day with its official launch last Thursday. We're still riding the wave of joy and pride at its completion, and we're continuing that theme in this edition of Carnsight Communicates. When you've put so much time, effort, and thought into a project, you learn a lot along the way. So we're sharing some BTS advice for those curious. We're also shining a spotlight on Chapter 3, which is all about getting started with 'PRing yourself' ?

Impact Hub London on nurturing success
Business Age shared the success of Impact Hub London with an insightful piece by Managing Director, Devi Clark . The organisation has delivered several impressive programs to support its growing community. Its Circular Start-Up program worked with aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved backgrounds to develop solutions to the climate crisis.
Meanwhile, its New Roots initiative nurtures the talent of entrepreneurs from minoritised ethnic backgrounds. Impact Hub London is also excited to deliver an additional two Incubator programmes, in Camden and Islington, aimed at creating new social enterprise startups within the life science and health sectors.

Aer Studios bolsters team with quartet of new hires
Business Biscuit has celebrated the South West creative technology studio's sterling start to 2024, sharing the story of its four new hires. The additions bring a diverse range of backgrounds, from an ex-diver for the Royal Navy who disarmed sea mines to the co-founder of a successful start-up. aer studios is a BIMA award winner and the sole South West creative technology studio to earn a place on the BBC roster.
Tom Harber, managing director, said: “We’re extremely excited to welcome Lucy, Max, Aaron and Joshua to the team. 2023 has been a pivotal year for Aer Studios from a growth and culture perspective, winning exciting new clients, industry awards and ranking in the top 100 best workplaces in the UK.”

2024 Property Awards panel of judges announced
Flexible Space Association executive director Jane Sartin has secured a judging spot with Property Week 's 2024 Property Awards. The awards celebrate and recognise success throughout the commercial property sector and seek to bring together the key players in the commercial property market.
FlexSA is the trade association for the UK’s flexible workspace industry. It is a membership body which supports, promotes and represents this vibrant industry. Its members comprise the operators of flexible workspaces, as well as companies providing services to the sector.

Where to start when it comes to doing PR yourself?
Continuing our eBook spotlight, we're sharing an excerpt from Chapter 3 which explains why your first step should be to interview yourself. We recommend you begin at the end – make the first question you answer “What do I/we want to achieve through doing PR?”
It's hard to plot a path when you have little idea of the destination, or in this case, the result you want to achieve. It doesn't have to be super detailed or definitively set in stone, but it's important to understand what success looks like. Consider the following questions:?

Four things you should know about writing an eBook ?
We are biased, seeing as we’ve just embarked on this process ourselves, but if you have the scope, the resources, and something worth saying, then we definitely recommend writing an eBook. Especially if you have a pre-existing knowledge bank to pull from. ?
If you work with a team, this is a great project for everyone to come together on and pool knowledge. It’s incredibly rewarding when you see the finished product. So, if you’re prepared to put in some overtime to get your product over the finish line, it can become a neat form of passive income and an achievement to be proud of.?But first, have a read-through of our top tips and takeaways. As you can imagine, all eyes have been on our eBook, Powerfully Practical PR here! It's been a journey, and arriving at the finish line last week was almost surreal.
