One Christian Can Change the World

Evangelical, holy huddles are not what is needed in the world today. As a Christian, you have the ability to have a significant impact on the society around you. Just one distinctive Christian life has untold impact. This is the great need of the hour.

We should not hide our faith or only engage with other believers in private. Rather, we should actively engage with the world and let our good works shine as a light for others to see.

In Matthew 5:14–16, Jesus says, “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

YOU are the light! Not just the church as a whole or a group of vocational pastors.

Jesus gives us a picture that is easy to understand. The world is a dark place, so dark that even the most precious things cannot be seen. So dark it is impossible for someone lost to follow a path to safety. Light is required.

YOU are required. Christians are purpose built to shed light. God saved us to be seen for his glory. YOU were designed to do this. YOU are designed to be a light that allows lost people to see things as they really are.
