One Business Lesson We Can Learn From March Madness
Kendra Harrison-Nicastro, MBA

There are so many things I love about March Madness - the hustle and scrappiness of college basketball, the thrill of a buzzer-beater, the matchups, the unexpected outcomes. But the one thing I love most is watching the teamwork and spirit among each team.
Each group either wins as a team or loses as a team.
The same should be said about business. When it comes to a company’s success, more often than not, many people are involved. It happens as a team. That potential client may contact your company due to marketing efforts. A sales rep provides helpful information and resources to aid in decision-making. A customer service team member nurtures that relationship. The business office ensures processes move along smoothly. And the list of contributors goes on.
Just like in basketball, the very best and most successful companies have strong leadership and a team of exceptional employees who work towards a common goal and support one another.
As March Madness tips off this week, we should all be reminded of the benefits of celebrating our individual strengths and working together as a collective group for the win.
And may we always remember, there is no “I” in team.
