One Broker proud to announce Blood Bikes as its Charity of the Year
Following a staff vote for a local charity, the One Broker group is supporting Blood Bikes as its Charity of the Year.
The organisation is run entirely by unpaid volunteers and specialises in transporting blood, medical equipment and donated breast milk to NHS patients, providing an essential, life-saving service. Blood Bikes serves the communities of East Anglia.
Following the news of being nominated as One Broker Charity of the Year, Cindy Dickerson, Chairman of the Cambridge area of Blood Bikes, said "The Bloodrunners are delighted to have been selected by the employees of One Broker as its chosen Charity and we are looking forward to working closely together. This year we hit our 4000th run since starting in 2010, a very important achievement for us".
Norfolk branch Treasurer, Keith Grisedale’s comments emphasised this "The need for SERV Norfolk’s services has grown from 60 runs in 2011 to over 1000 last year and I expect it to be nearly 1500 this year so support from businesses like One Broker is crucial".
Managing Director, Robin Plaster, added "It’s great to be supporting Blood Bikes, especially as they are local to our three offices. One Broker likes to be part of the community and the team is excited to really get involved".
