Sad event, AW609 tilt rotor, one of the two prototypes crashed today.

Witnesses say: ""It was flying low over the houses and was in flames. The pilot did well to take it up on the fields of corn.".

AW was investing lot of effort in past 2 years to finish certification and find customers for this great piece of aeronautical engineering. Hope this does not stop them and the root cause is find and solved quickly.
