Napoleon Hill, in "Think and Grow Rich", states that being a member of a Business Mastermind is crucial for achieving success.
So what is a Business Mastermind?
A few non competing experienced business owners meet regularly, often once a month. You help each other by offering advice based on your experience. You may discuss particular issues of concern to individual members and help them come up with solutions.
You help each other set ambitious goals. You agree to hold each other accountable at the next meeting; "You said you were going to do this, how did it go?"
To protect each other you sign a confidentiality agreement. Also, you ensure there is no competition in the room, so you avoid having businesses from the same sector.
It's been proved that if you have a good idea you've a 10% chance of doing it. If you say you'll do it and make a plan your chances are now 50%. If you promise someone else, it's 65%. However, if you agree to meet that person or persons again to be held accountable you've a 95% chance of doing it. No-one likes to let others down.
By being part of a mastermind group you get advice and support to set more ambitious goals. And you double your chance of successfully achieving them.
