Once you believe in God, life is bliss

God already loves you, you just have to love Him back. Not just believing in any God but believing in True God makes you happy and satisfied. We all as human being have a hole, a spiritual hole in us. Something that keeps us unsatisfied. This is a longing of the spirit to find God and be in a close relationship with its creator. Once we come to a true understanding of God, when the spirit is one with its creator, we feel happy and satisfied no matter what.
Now you will ask me how do we know where and what is true God. Lets me ask you. Do you as a human want to be hated or loved? Do you as human want to be accepted or rejected? Do you as a human want to be valued or ignored? This is the longing of the spirit. God created us to be loved, valued and accepted. God loves us, values us and accepts us when we find him with whole heart. God is Love and He loves us like a Father loves his children. God is our loving Heavenly Father and we can call Him Father. Someone said 2000 years ago that you will find the truth and the truth will set you free.
Knowing God, the source of all happiness, does make me happier. There’s a verse in Luke where Jesus is overcome with joy in the knowledge of the Holy Spirit. If only the author had used more description—what does Jesus overjoyed look like? Cartwheels, hilarious laughter, what? I do not understand why people post questions requiring an assessment without giving any indication of what we are supposed to assess. When it comes to belief, theists arrogantly assume that the only one that matters is god-belief. It may come as a surprise, for instance, that there are also people who believe in fairies.

So if we modify the question to this example; “Does believing in God make you happier than people who believe in fairies?” then I would say that imaginary beings are equally silly concepts and likely to have a similar happiness quotient. I can speak only for myself, and largely, yes. It bestows tremendous comfort to know their is a plan, that no matter how bad life gets, nothing is beyond God’s control. If we but persevere, we shall inherit eternal life.
In some of my lowest moments, when nothing seemed able to dispel the encroaching darkness, my faith in God saw me through, gave me light when it was most needed. Yet others say different. For some, trying to believe in God has proven a bane to one’s happiness. This is sometimes the result of trying to navigate a bad case of cognitive dissonance. Sometimes people believe differently than what their church teaches and it could cause severe anxiety trying to square your personal views with what you perceive as God’s views.
And sometimes, people don’t need anything outside themselves to feel happy. I grew in my faith as I diligently studied my church’s teachings, read from the Scriptures and sought truth for myself. My friend is an atheist, and came to that conclusion by following the exact same path I did. I can’t explain it. I don’t know why some people find happiness believing in God and others find only misery. Cheers!
