■ Sergey Petrov, the founder of the Rolf Dealer Group in Moscow, Russia

2024 Steffen Karl

Before the Russian attack on Ukraine, Rolf Moscow had planned to expand its business in Europe to become the continent's largest automobile importer and retailer.

This plan had been set in motion some time ago.

It took me a long time before I finally got the chance to visit the Soviet Union. In the summer of 2004, I travelled to Moscow. However, I had to complete much documentation before boarding the plane and entering the country. Eventually, I could fly into Moscow via Prague, where my grandfather was born. Unfortunately, my luggage went missing during the journey. Despite this setback, I continued with my trip.

Steffen, please calm down and continue with the story.- Please be so kind!!

However, it does not match the description you provided earlier.

■We need to analyse numbers and statistics to make budgeting easier. We require historical data, a traditional evaluation of liquidity and profitability, and Rolf's calculations and budgeting. I evaluated Rolf's management tools and KPIs during a professional meeting with Sergey Petrov, a majority stakeholder of Rolf Motor Group in Russia.

He greeted me warmly with a British-style greeting, which was unusual for a Greek man.

The meeting took place in a well-appointed room with excellent hospitality.

■I suddenly realised that Sergey was the real manager and not me.

I observed that the tools and procedures were well-organized, and I began to understand that we were dealing with the Motor Industry Retail Benchmark. The meeting lasted for approximately three hours, during which I felt a great deal of pressure and stress, causing me to lose at least a meter of height.

The meeting lasted around three hours, during which I felt a great deal of pressure, and due to the stress, I lost at least a meter of height.

After a three-hour meeting with Sergej, Veni Vidi Vici (the owner of Rolf), and their management team, I deeply contemplated. In summary, I chose to resign from the company. Subsequently,

I went to Moscow Airport, indulged in a double vodka, caught a flight, and departed Russia feeling enlightened and humbled by the experience.

I remain thankful for the training session at Rolf Moscow.

With Automotive Regards,

Steffen

Feb 21 (Reuters) - A Russian court on Wednesday ordered that ownership of shares in car dealership Rolf and its founder Sergei Petrov's income be handed over to the Russian state, Russian news agencies reported, effectively nationalising the company. Russia's Prosecutor General's Office filed a lawsuit in St Petersburg's Moskovsky District Court in January, seeking to seize all shares in Rolf and affiliated companies as "property obtained in violation of anti-corruption legislation".
