Once upon a time in Kirloskarvadi ...

I had turned 60 in 2021. A God sent opportunity came my way & next thing was that I was celebrating my 60 th birthday at Kirloskarvadi in Maharashtra.

Kirloskarvadi is a small town built more than 100 years back by Kirloskars. It has their flagship plant manufacturing pumps with a turnover of around 1000 crores. There are a few thousand workers in the factory & the townships itself has more than 100 Engineers living in the residential area.

The houses were built quite some time back & have beautiful Mangalore tiles on the sloping roofs as there are heavy rains during the monsoon.

I turned this opportunity into a mission to transform the township. Built new roads, Badminton courts, Renovated a World class cricket ground, motivated the children by leading them in various character building activities like Gardening, farming, Hiking, Cycling , Leadership & Community building volunteer work.

Also steered the Women towards better home management & gardening practices supported by my wife Ms. Navneet Bindra.
