■Noway to Norway■March, 2024, by Steffen Karl

Dear Automotive Retail Ambassador,

Today, it is my pleasure to share this historical real story with you;

Once upon a time, GM was the owner of Opel in the year 2004, the

Topic was G1, maybe some people still remember it. The GM G1 used car program wasn't bad, as it came from us. Only G 1 also eroded like many other manufacturers' used car programs in Nirvana - oh no in Norway, in Oslo at Bilia Opel.

■As usual, we arrived at the dealership one hour early for our appointment because, as we all knew, first impressions are crucial.

Consequently, we had to go "undercover" to observe the meet-and-greet behaviour of the front office staff.?

Fortunately, we did not purchase a car then since it was beyond our budget.

At that time, G 1 was the topic for our meeting with the CEO of Opel Oslo in Norway.

We told her about our pleasant experience at his car store, had a small conversation, and then I passionately promoted GM's G1 used vehicle program.

■I assumed the Bilia manager was paying close attention to my presentation.

She also asked good questions, to which I firmly replied.

During the meeting, thoughts kept popping up in my mind, like - he's not wearing a tie at all and appears to be completely relaxed -

I continued a little tensely. I was once again impressed by my counterpart's calmness. The manager seemed less enthusiastic than me.

The presentation and QA session were completed - I was also well done, by the way.

Then the manager asked what else we had in our program besides flags, banners and license plates.

She clarified that he would keep the corporate design of his used car display and presentation the same because it contained so little content, even though we had a big budget.

■The manager seemed to be less enthusiastic than I was.

I felt pain that there was no access to Bilia Opel Oslo, Norway.

Then the manager asked what else we had in our program besides flags, banners and license plate documents.

She clarified to me that he would keep the corporate design of his used car the same because it contained so little content, even though we had a big budget.

■I thought by myself>OK, no way to Norway with G1.

Propper bye-bye-, Maintain posture and transfer to Oslo Airport,

en akevitt og raskt hjem

with Automotive Regards,

Steffen

BAD EXPERIENCE with your VIVARO electric vehicle: the Android application does not work - European homologation problem on an element of driving safety and other things that can be improved for the safety too. The after-sales service : 'Opel Belgium Service Clientèle' <[email protected] makes promises but not helpful and nothing concrete. Best regards. JC Calomme

And even Saab was sold via the Opel Dealerships in Germany.
