I Sell Commercial Real Estate | REALTIST?
There is a story to every listing that happens when buying, selling, or leasing real estate. Since being on the service side of the commercial real estate business (meaning I only get paid if something gets sold), I have encountered more than my fair share of interesting people who have unique properties in specific locations. This property is one that continues to tell a story.
550 N Center Street is located in Mesa, AZ (which is apart of Metro Phoenix). It is a property located in walking distance to the Oakland A's Training Facilities, Downtown Mesa, and a short drive to the Chicago Cubs Training Facilities. It is 1400 SQFT with an open floor plan and a building that was rebuilt from the studs up in 2016 as a result of a fire. It sits on 6800 SQFT lot that is enclosed with a fence.
Sounds simple enough to sell right? That is something that is not true for every property. Though this building had been utilized as a church since 1947, the church never owned the land next door, which is important for any client that needs parking. And then Covid hit and the church was no longer used.
My journey to sell this property began during COVID. I quickly began to realize the importance of the vacant land next door and began searching for the owners of the land to gauge their interest in selling. Months after the initially search, communication began with the land owner. And a meeting was scheduled to discuss the sale of the land in conjunction with the existing building that is already for sale.

A couple of months later, the land owner agreed to list the land for sale with me. The story is still not over but the journey has some light at the end of the tunnel as a result of this listing. Each unique property has a unique story to tell. Some more interesting that others. I know it is not my job to rush someone to a conclusion that best benefits me but to wait to service a client's highest level of need.
