The New York WCB has provided some new updates.? As always, here’s what you need to know:

Current Takeaways

  • The backlog of Level 3 PAR reviews has been reduced from over 8,000 down to zero
  • Every Level 3 PAR review is now handled within 2-3 weeks.?
  • 90% of medication, behavioral health, and DME PARs are resolved in 1 day or less, with the remaining 10 % resolved within 2 - 3 days
  • Special services PARs are resolved within1 week
  • Variance and confirmation PARs are resolved within 2 - 3 weeks.

Coming Soon

  • Healthcare provider’s may delegate to submit and escalate PARs on the provider’s behalf, rather than requiring the provider to do this themselves.
