The Omnigo Development Team – Responsibilities, Experiences, Achievements, New Projects

Omnigo has grown exponentially over the last 19 years and we have built up a highly capable team to provide high quality and cost-efficient manufacturing solutions, tailor-made to client-specific requirements.

In the age of technology, not much can be achieved without trial and error, but at Omnigo, we strive to live true to our philosophy of: "First time right, every time right". To keep up with such high standards we have a development team with many years of experience in the industry and they remain determined to provide high-quality solutions.

It is also of the utmost importance to us to stay on track with the design specifications agreed upon between the client and the design authority.?

All development projects and responsibilities are managed by our seasoned development manager, Nico Greyling, to ensure that all processes run smoothly and without error.

Responsibilities

Our development team has a lot of responsibilities. To ensure that we adhere to our motto "First time right, every time right", we keep our communications open between all departments, leaving little to no room for error. They assist all departments with:

• any technical queries,
• developing software to aid departments with SAP queries,
• selecting components that are currently available on the market,
• reduce the manufacturing cost when designing new PCBs,
• develop new products for clients, and
• updating existing products.

Experience

Our development team is not only expertly trained and qualified but also expertly versed in their knowledge of hardware and firmware development.

With our development team steering and other departments combining their efforts to support them, they successfully designed and developed Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) electronics to be used in military practices

Omnigo also makes use of the software developed by the team to provide quick access to information for several departments internally. This allows all departments to communicate and collaborate efficiently across multiple projects to provide all our consumers with quality products and services.

Achievements

We have achieved quite a lot in the development department at Omnigo! But there is one project that stands out among the rest- the design and development of UAV electronics and the success thereof.

New Projects

We are extremely proud of our work and we are dedicated to updating existing products that were previously developed for all our long-standing clients. We are also very excited to take on new challenges and develop expert products to meet the needs of all our clients.?

We are currently working on:

• new test solutions of the UAV projects involving the testing of the units we developed,
• developing and testing internal software for our production department,
• designing test jigs for numerous military clients,
• a battery balancing charger,?
• embedded software for an air filtering system to purify the air from viruses, and
• new UAV electronics.
