The Omnibenevolence Council Newsletter #2

Welcome to this second edition of The Omnibenevolence Council? Newsletter!

(On The Rising New World Order)

This edition is specifically written for you if you work in the philanthropy industry, or if you feel inclined to become more philanthropic in your leadership growth endeavors.

The reason for this approach is because of the times of turmoil our world is in at the moment.

Wouldn’t you also agree that growing in philanthropic consciousness could benefit us all right now – by just beginning with being a bit more friendly to one another in our everyday vicissitudes?

That’s why this Newsletter asks you to (re-)consider some approaches to what it could mean to be working in philanthropy, i.e. in more love for our humankind. And then, how this can translate into company culture, organizational balance, and personal happiness for everyone involved.

So, with that being said, let’s dive in…

What is your number one reason for working in philanthropy?

  1. Is it simply because you want to do more good in the world?
  2. Is it purely because no other kind of work makes more sense to you?
  3. Is it ultimately because you also believe in a higher order ideal that you want to realize?

Or perhaps it’s because of all three of these reasons (and then something more) to prevent our humanity from demise…

So let’s begin to explore how either way, all three of these reasons can come together to pave a path forward, especially now the world seems to be adrift and lots of people are in dismay.

But first another question…

Are you also bothered by the ridicule that standing for good causes often receives from weird press or idiotic social media outlets?

It’s a strange thing, isn’t it, that when someone with a big purse gives huge sums of money to a good cause, they then only receive fierce criticism or negative banter about how they got their money in the first place – although they could also choose to spend their cash solely on consumer goods.

That kind of ridicule is idiotic in terms of the very hypocrisy those big donors are accused of. Because oftentimes the most fierce critics don’t even give a dime themselves to others, just for goodness sake. (The discussion on good business ethics and accompanying CSR is of course also hugely important, no doubt about that! But that will be a topic for another time.)

Which brings us back to point number two – What kind of work would make more sense?

Is it work that solely aims at a person’s or business’ increase in profits? Or would it indeed be the work that helps in creating ultimate prosperity for the world as a whole?

You can imagine that it asks a thing or two from someone to choose the second option, purely because it requires a form of transcendence above and beyond solely someone’s profit’s sake.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. There’s a different pathway possible indeed, a pathway that brings more prosperity abound (more on that later). Which begs the next question…

Are you also experiencing forms of confusion because of the rising new world order and the rapid changes in politics, business and the third sector?

There’s so much going on. We indeed can’t deny that things are shifting rapidly while it’s becoming harder and harder to keep up with all the news. And this will continue for the coming years and decades. So it’s crucial to >>become more agile and wise<< while still being persistent in realizing a higher order ideal with your personal or organization’s enterprise.

What then would be the highest order ideal to cooperate in?

In my opinion, the very word ‘Omnibenevolence’ beholds that ideal for each and every one of us, in each and everyone’s unique way. And each and every one of us can receive nourishment, meaning and inspiration from that word.

That’s why The Omnibenevolence Council? provides you with a space and place to receive that. So, if you now also want to transcend from the Ridicule, Confusion or Need for Defence, into Philanthropy Leadership Mastery, yes, even into Omnibenevolence! –

Then feel free to begin following this page: >>The Omnibenevolence Council?<<

You’re welcome to engage, share, like or comment there! Because there you’ll find regular updates on the congruence of philanthropy leadership mastery that’s so much needed right now. It thus pays to pay this different yet benevolent message forward. It’s a form of reciprocal philanthropy in action.

Now, to conclude this second edition of The Omnibenevolence Council? Newsletter, let’s take a moment to just imagine the path forward…

If you also want to be…

  • Doing more good in the world, plus…
  • Doing work that makes more sense, plus…
  • Realizing a higher order ideal…

…would it then be a wise choice to become even more philanthropic in your leadership growth endeavors? And how will you do that?

I’m curious about your thoughts on this. So, thanks in advance for sharing them in the comments or with a private message here on LinkedIn.

And if you want direct, personal help now through directly practical and useful leadership training, then you can book a session for creating the first draft of Your Ultimate Prosperity Roadmap right here: [Calendly booking page for Your Ultimate Prosperity Roadmap]<< On that page you find more details on what this is about. I’m looking forward to working with you. For now…

Thank you for reading this Newsletter! Feel free to share it.

In gratitude,

PS: Would you also agree that purely from an organizational standpoint alone it would already pay dividends many times over if there was a wider culture of philanthropic leadership – meaning that every one of us is friendlier and more inclined to cultivate benevolence and prosperity? It’s a grand endeavor indeed, although it’s much needed these days. That’s why you’re invited to share this Newsletter with your network to spread this inspiration. It just might help a bit already. Thank you!

I agree it is time we all take a different look at how we interface with the world. After 34 years in business, I have decided it is time to share lessons learned and help others who are disadvantaged but desire to rise up. Why has the Great Resignation, become a silent movement? I believe, we are coming to the end of a long cycle (250 years) where people are moving from centralized authority to decentralized authority. It, like all revolutions, will begin off the main stream. I have been on Boards of nonprofits for years, but only now see how this new philanthropy, small and great, may lead this movement to bring about real change in how we share and to whom we give or sow into. Great work Maurits.
