The optimal way to engage your target market is through a range of media, even if today's consumers demand all businesses to at least have an internet presence. This strategy, which is sometimes referred to as "Omnichannel" marketing, eliminates any restrictions or "silos" that various media may impose. For instance, a television commercial for a product should also have a web tie-in that is suitable for desktop and mobile consumers.
The concept is that customers may learn about and interact with your product (or service) through various media before and after making a purchase. The experience might suffer, and a sale could be lost if the transition between these several platforms is not seamless.
