Is it really almost Thanksgiving?? It snuck up on me this year, so I wanted to lead this email with a reminder my team HIGHLY encouraged me to make...our custom-suiting delivery deadline. Every year it never fails, we have to turn folks away due to not having enough time before holiday parties and other special events...I get it; sometimes we need some extra reminders...so here is yours!

Garden & Gun

Filipe and I are incredibly excited to be heading back to Garden & Gun next week. For those that may not know, in 2018 we won the very prestigious Made in the South Style Award at Garden & Gun's Annual competition. It was a huge turning point for us as a brand and took things to another level for OMJ. Well... 6 years later, we are heading back for a celebration of past winners and the 15th anniversary of this special event. It is 11/22-11/24, and open to the public, and on Saturday we take the stage with Brackish to discuss fashion in the South...which has changed significantly post-COVID. Should any of you be in town, make sure to RSVP here... and let us know as we would love to connect. We are taking a handful of custom appointments as well and will be sizing and fitting fine folks all weekend!

• Read: As many of you know, we started carrying vintage watches at the store a couple of months ago. It has been a hit, but more importantly has been incredibly fun to "hunt" pieces to sell that mostly match my style and taste (and a big thanks to Will for all the help as well). We often get questions from customers who also want to learn more, and the first place I send them to is Hoodinkee. They take a humble and inviting approach to horology not often found (unfortunately) in a world that naturally caters to those concerned with status. • Listen: We recently did an episode about the Art and Science of Custom Suiting on our Tailored Talks Podcast! We answer all sorts of questions, from how a suit is made, the benefits of custom suiting, what makes us different, and how a New Year's Eve at the Biltmore 10 years ago convinced us to start making custom suiting. I may be a bit biased, but it is a wonderful listen! This episode links to Apple Podcasts, but you can find it wherever podcasts are available. • Watch: Speaking of custom and bespoke suiting. I recently watched this wonderful video featuring Saville Row staple Hunstman. The heritage, history, and examples of consistently pivoting and adjusting to keep up with the times are inspiring! This is the pinnacle of menswear and a must-watch for anyone who loves this stuff!
• AI: Every week, I'll share insights on Artificial Intelligence (the good and the bad) and how we, or other businesses, can leverage it. We have been experimenting a lot with AI for various advertising and marketing activities at OMJ. What I have found so far is that it is decent and acceptable for a lot of brands focused on reaching broad audiences but falls short for a brand like ours that is so focused on experience. It makes sense; it's a wide solution trying to fit into a narrow and niche hole, so it's not ready. Will keep you updated as things evolve and we get better!?
