Olympia Electronics supports bone marrow donation with an awareness and donor registration initiative

With a strong sense of social responsibility, Olympia Electronics has undertaken a humanitarian and solidarity-driven initiative, contributing to the global effort to promote bone marrow donation.

In collaboration with the Orama Elpidas association and the Kolindros Blood Donors & Organ Donors Association "Agios Dimitrios", the company organized a sample collection event, giving its employees the opportunity to register as volunteer bone marrow donors.

Bone marrow donation: A small effort, a life saved

A bone marrow transplant is often the only life-saving treatment for patients suffering from serious blood disorders, such as leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. However, finding a compatible donor is particularly challenging, as the likelihood of random compatibility between unrelated individuals is extremely low.

This reality highlights the urgent need to increase the number of registered bone marrow donors, ensuring more lives can be saved.
