Women in Data Africa
Join our thriving community of over 5000+, dedicated to empowering a generation of women in Tech, ??.
Hello, my name is Oluchi Dibie. I am a member of the Women in Data Africa (WiDA) community, as well as a technical writer.
I am always on the lookout to build myself and seize opportunities to upskill as a data analyst.
For me, this challenge isn’t just about learning; it’s a lifeline—a chance to enhance my skills while navigating the responsibilities of life in Nigeria.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this challenge serves as motivation, holding me accountable to my growth while connecting me with a tribe of determined women all striving for excellence.
I am achieving this by participating in the 25 Days of Data Challenge with WiDA.
Why Did I Sign Up for the Challenge?
I signed up for this challenge primarily to upskill and as an accountability outlet. As someone who often juggles multiple responsibilities (surviving in Nigeria isn’t easy whew!!), this challenge serves as a source of motivation and a way to hold myself accountable.
It’s incredibly motivating to see many young women striving to reach the same goals as myself.
What Has Been My Highlight So Far?
My highlight so far has been working on projects on customer segmentation, behaviour analysis, and market trends analysis—areas I have always wanted to learn and work on.

Additionally, seeing many women communicate the same challenges I have faced in this field and still be motivated to complete their tasks has been extremely inspiring.
Is This Challenge Building My Skills?
Yes, this challenge is certainly improving not just my technical skills but also my soft skills.
Over the past few days, I have made significant progress in data analytics, and the challenge has helped me enhance my technical abilities as well as my communication and collaboration skills.
Overall, this has been a very rewarding experience.
Advice for Anyone Interested in Joining the Next Challenge
I would say this is a very worthwhile and rewarding challenge.
Not only do you get to be part of a community that holds you accountable, but the materials and opportunities shared during this challenge can be very resourceful for one’s growth and development.
This is a life-changing opportunity for all young women out there.
This is my own experience, and I encourage you to embrace the journey, be accountable, stay motivated, and join the next challenge.
