Olio ? Share More, Waste Less here with your regular update on what we've been up to lately. For this edition, we're sharing some exciting new updates from May so far.

Olio’s brand new Food Safety Library ??

At Olio, our volunteers share millions of portions of food each month. But we’ve lost count of how many times we’ve been asked - “how can you be sure Olio's processes are 100% safe?”? To help answer those questions (and assuage any worries ), we’ve put together a library of all our resources on food safety. Make sure to give it a read!?

Olio got a wonderful write-up in The Times last month! In his article titled “Want to help save the planet? Use a sharing app”? journalist Edward Lucas explained how Olio is spreading joy across UK communities by turning one person’s trash into another person’s treasure . Olio was on ITV (again!) ??

Olio was featured in a special episode of ITV’s Tonight show called Work Where You Want? Britain’s Digital Nomads. During the episode, Tessa and a few of the Olio team shared their experiences of remote working, and how it’s allowed us to build a uniquely diverse workforce. This 14forty office repurposes clean margarine and mayonnaise tubs to share surplus food with Olio’s volunteers. We think that’s pretty ingenious (and don’t those Yorkshire puds look delicious!).
