Old Bitcoin ETFs vs New?
Yes there have been cryptocurrency ETFs for awhile and so what is new with the latest SEC approvals and news reports. The new bitcoin ETFs are different from the old ones in several ways. The main difference is that the new ETFs hold actual bitcoins, while the old ones hold futures contracts based on the price of bitcoin. This means that the new ETFs can track the spot price of bitcoin more accurately, without the extra costs and risks of rolling over futures contracts. The new ETFs also have lower fees than the old ones, ranging from 0.20% to 0.95%, compared to 2% to 3% for the old trusts and futures ETFs.
