Delhi wants Ola and Uber drivers to become Good Samaritans. Indian Express reports, quoting a health ministry official that Delhi has partnered with the transport aggregators to ferry road accident victims to the nearest hospital. The companies will train their drivers on quickly responding to an accident situation and unveil a new logo requesting drivers and riders to help victims. The move is part of an initiative launched last year under which the state offers ?2,000 to those who help road accident and acid attack victims reach hospitals. Join the conversation.

Expect your phone bill to ultimately rise, Business Insider reports. Bharti Airtel and Vodafone-Idea have three months to collectively pay ?80,000 crore following a recent Supreme Court judgement even as Vodafone-Idea’s promoters have indicated their inability to fund dues. If penalties are waived, Jio will continue with its plan to acquire 500 million subscribers and up tariffs in another year, Spark Capital notes. But if the government sticks to its stance, telecom could become a duopoly; both Jio and Airtel will raise data tariffs and bring them on par with international levels, the publication said. Crime against women has risen for the third year in a row: 359,849 FIRs were filed in 2017, 6.16% higher than 2016. The latest data from the National Crime Records bureau shows that Uttar Pradesh (56,011 cases), Maharashtra (31,979) and West Bengal (30,002) reported the maximum instances of gender-specific crimes. Among cities, Lucknow, Delhi and Mumbai had the most police complaints. The safest states? Nagaland, Sikkim and Mizoram. Amazon and Flipkart continue to accumulate losses in their fight for India’s e-commerce crown. Losses at Walmart-owned Flipkart’s two main commerce arms widened by more than 40% for FY19 even as combined revenue rose 47%. For Amazon India’s four units — marketplace, wholesale trading, payments and logistics — revenue increased by 13.5% while losses rose by 3.8%. The e-tailers are losing money largely on account of their discount-led pricing, customer acquisition costs, higher logistics expenses and change in government regulations. Join the conversation.

The data of roughly 7.5 million Adobe customers was visible to anyone with a web browser, anonymous sources told Bloomberg. The software maker addressed the vulnerability in its Creative Cloud service the day it was discovered, but not before a security researcher found users’ member identifications, subscription and payment statuses and whether the user was an Adobe employee, reports Comparitech. Adobe said they are "reviewing development processes." In 2013, attackers stole user names and encrypted passwords for 38 million Adobe customers. Join the conversation.

“Once you start regularly engaging in respectful debate, it becomes a very normal part of how thoughtful decisions are made. And the value of diverse perspectives becomes powerful and clear.”

Nobody over here is commenting on the telecom sector. Is everyone ok with the mobile bill rise? I think the entire strategy is to create situation for non Jio subscribers to leave their current service providers & join Jio network & finally get looted there. Government is also involved in this mission because the Ambanis are the friends of PM.

Idea of the day: A good debate can help surface the best decision, says Brian Tyler, CEO at McKesson Very true. Decisions? based? open discussion? are always path breaking .It will be doubly effective if decisions are made? based on? dissent rather? than consensus because? consensus will always? have? hidden? elements? of? majoritarianism!!WISDOM? SAYS MAJORITY BASED? DECISION ARE? ALWAYS? WRONG!!!
