Is it OK to give up?

So I've known a guy.

Not as old as Warren Buffett, but not exactly young either.

He's been in this particular industry for over 10 years.

And oh boy, he is kind to everyone.

He is always the first to get the bill.

When he needs something from you, he'd pay visits or rings you up so often you'd think his sincerity is over the sky.

But when it comes to business, he always does the same thing.

He overpromises, but never able to deliver.

And when I said never, I mean, NEVER.

He would promise to complete one project in two months, but two years later, that project is still a work-in-progress.

He would grab every single opportunity to form alliance or partnership just to grow his company or get more projects.

But at the end of the day, these partnerships always ended with the other party "breaking up" with him.

And those parties?

They moved on, often doing better.

And this guy?

Still trying to repeat the whole process with different people.

Always expecting for that ONE moment to appear.

That everything will change for the better.

Few minutes earlier, I saw his WhatsApp status: "Expecting different result while doing the same old thing is INSANITY".

And I couldn't help but think, why is he still doing the same thing over and over again?

Is it because there's another side of him telling him to "never give up"?

We always tell ourselves to "never give up".

But, is it ALWAYS OK to not give up?
