???#didyouknow?…That a virus adds $6 to the cost of every pig in the United States? ?? ??

Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS) is a viral disease infecting sows and pigs leading to increased mortality in young animals. Pigs shed the virus via saliva, urine and faeces. PRRS becomes airborne, remaining infectious. Until now to overcome this problem pork producers have had to install expensive air filtration systems in their barns to mitigate spread.

Things are changing.

Researchers at?Iowa State University?recently discovered that ultraviolet light stops the transmission of the virus that causes PRRS. UV has been used to kill bacteria in the food industry for decades, it inactivates PRRS in much the same way.

UV222??Industrial is IP66 rated which means it can operate in harsh weather and humid outdoor conditions. It safely disinfects barns, stables and sheds without harming livestock or farm workers. That’s good news for pigs and good news for producers. ?? ????

UV222??? Safe ? Effective ? Intelligent
