Oil commentary - THE RETURN
Morning all. Brent is trading this morning at $85.68 up 0.22 and WTi is trading up 0.30 at $79.17. Do not adjust your sets. Do not rub those weary eyes. Do not pass go. Yes, daily oil commentary is back. Yes he’s back yes he’s back yes he’s back yes he’s back doo doo dum do dum do dum. Now, whilst I don’t think you’ve all been sitting behind your screen every day since my last diatribe re oil markets, crying into your morning coffee crying and screaming “Why God whyyy, how can you take him away from me!!” It has been nearly nine months since we last spoke, but fear not, nothing has changed in regard to my outlook on all things oil, or indeed, all things football, (top of the league, just saying). So, has much happened over the last year or so? Ummmm, let me see. Nope, not a lot, just new world order in Europe, a pandemic that is seemingly firmly in the rear view mirror, a world that isn’t quite sure it is in the middle of a massive recession or is about to embark on spending itself silly again, Donald Trump actually not saying anything for four hours straight, Elon Musk buying Twitter and then, of course, me trying to ensure that Mikel Arteta is the next Prime Minister of The United Kingdom. Nope not much at all, move on, nothing to see hereeeee. Amazing really. I remember a time about three years ago, when COVID wasn’t a word, a face mask was something you had to put on if you had just had a nose job and Germany could buy all the gas from Russia they wanted. Oil mid 80’s? Gas prices the same now as they were in 2021? IMF predicting world economic growth? Hmm, lots to talk about, lots to digest and lots more to follow on commentary on a daily basis. Hope you’ve all been well and as usual, good day.
