Our Government- People Government says they are with us to to fight with the battle of viral fever Chikungunya. Is the Government really with us?
My maid has three sons- all of them are suffering from this fever. As this maid went on leave for few days, I called up another temporary maid. Unfortunately, she was also infected with the fever. She said one member in every family of her area is infected with this fever. I advised her to consume liquids such as coconut water everyday. And here I felt very anguish on our Government when the maid said madam bachon ko khana khilaein ke khud nariyal paani peein....nariyal pani se pet nhee bharta,...Coconut water is so expensive, 40-45 bucks. If three members in a family have to consume coconut water daily, especially low income group, how they would manage. No doubt, free medical facilities is a good way to help people. But what about the dietary intake! Only medicines just cannot suffice. Fruits, vegetables, and coconut water are so expensive that it is very difficult for a middle class and lower class to cope up. Moreover, the lower class people lose their jobs when they take so many leaves as this fever is taking at least one month. My temporary maid lost three jobs while she was down with high fever during initial 7 days. She is working forcibly despite of severe joint pains. Are we all really united? Is this humanity.....expelling such people in fever from their jobs?
Can we still say 'we are united to fight this'....as stated by our Chief Minister Mr. Kejriwal recently?....Shouldn't they reduce rates of fruits and coconut water for some time so that even lower class can get rid of this fever effects as soon as possible. Chikungunya and Inflation have really broken our back and bones.....
