And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the log in your own eye?
-Christ
Oh, that log in my own eye!
I see your blemishes and the scars you hide,
None of your foibles escape my sight.
Speck in your eye, I’ve seen,
But, oh, that log in my own eye!
You speak so loud, and use language foul,
Your breath stinks, and you’re always in a brawl.
You’re at fault , it’s you always, I cry,
But, oh, that log in my own eye!
I read the books, and always find,
There’s a lesson or two that you should mind.
How on earth, I forgot in my jibe,
To see that stupid log in my own eye!
Goodness knows, behind your back,
I’ve spoken about virtues you lack,
What a shame, I forget many a vice,
That I harbor, in my own inside.
Oh, that log in my own eye!

8 年Beautiful poem .. Loved every word of it. I wait for your posts. Let me come to this post and say that's how it always is and that's the evolution.. Removing that log from our own eye is what is evolution all about, Ashutosh Sharma. My book of verses published in 2002 has this short verse: Isn't it funny and so very strange; everyone wants everyone else to change.. It resonates so much with what you have written.. RS
