"Ofgem"
I have never asked myself, what is the purpose of "Ofgem", well its role is protect the consumers now and in the future by working to deliver a greener , fairer energy system.
The question then has to be, are they achieving this and delivering what we the consumer want or importantly require.
Having seen the various RIO2 draft determinations, all of which appear not to approve 50% of electrical proposed projects or investments and 40% of gas, I d say "NO".
How is the UK going to achieve Net Zero Targets, with the lack of investment or ambition of "Ofgem".
Now when the Power Houses such as National Grid, SSE, Scottish Power all appear to be locking heads with "Ofgem" and rightly so, we have to ask ourselves, do they really have any chance of overturning or influencing this lack of ambition ?
Worryingly; the majority of consumers not only want not to adopt smart technology, including electric cars, renewable energy, solar power and importantly reduce the dependency on less greener solutions, the consumer wants it now and to an extent is willing to pay for it.
Why do "Ofgem" think differently than the average consumer and are so reluctant to invest in our future, as I am struggling to work it out, what are your thoughts ?
As for me, I d say "Ofgem!!!!"
